Gujarat State implemented Aadhaar Enabled DISE - Child Tracking System for collection of Student-wise information for Elementary Schooling of Class I - VIII since January 2012.Aadhaar Enabled DISE is deployed with a concept adopted from UIDAI to build database of students along with child wise record with Student Name, Parents Name, Date of Birth, Address, incentives & benefits received from Government. The same database is being used by State to conduct child wise evaluation under Gunotsav programme. Each year, existing records are being updated and new entrants in Class I are being entered under the system.

The UIDAI app will allow users to carry their Aadhaar information on their smartphones, however the app is currently in its beta phase, and some features will be made via future updates. No iOS Aadhaar app has been talked about so far.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched new app for Android called mAadhaar. The mobile Aadhaar app lets users carry theirAadhaar information such as name, date of birth, gender, address as well as the photos linking to their Aadhaar card on their smartphones, making it easily accessible when needed. The app is currently only available for Android devices and is available via the Play Store. There is no information on an iOS Aadhaar app so far.
For added security, the mAadhaar app also comes with biometric locking/unlocking that should keep users’ personal information safe. There is only a Time-based One-Time Password system (TOTP) that can be used to create a temporary password, which can be used in place of a traditional SMS-based OTP. Users will also see their updated profile after they have successfully filed an update request. They can also share QR codes and password protected eKYC data to retrieve information.

UIDAI has noted that the app is currently in beta, and some of the features will be made available in the future via updates. 
It seems like Aadhaar is well on its way to becoming a common method of verifying identity across the entire country. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that it was integrating Aadhaar into Skype Lite. The aim was to bring identity verification services to its messaging and video calling platform. Either party can now request Aadhaar verification and to confirm their identity, users will have to enter their 12-digit Aadhaar number and authenticate via a one-time password. Microsoft notes that this would help prevent impersonation fraud.

mAadhaar is official mobile application developed by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to provide an interface to Aadhaar Number Holders to carry their demographic information viz. Name, Date of Birth, Gender & Address along with photograph as linked with their Aadhaar Number in smart phones.
Key Features:
1. Aadhaar Number Holder profile download – A convenient way to carry Aadhaar number with demographic details anytime, anywhere.
Biometric locking/unlocking – To secure biometric authentication by locking biometrics data. Once resident enables Biometric Locking system their biometric remains locked till the Aadhaar Holder chose to either Unlock it (which is temporary) or Disable the Locking system.
TOTP generation – Time-based One-Time Password is an automatically generated temporary password which can be used instead of SMS based OTP.
Update of profile – An updated view of Aadhaar profile data after successful completion of update request.
Sharing of QR code and eKYC data by Aadhaar Number holder – Share QR code and password protected eKYC data to retrieve accurate demographic information from it instead of manual entry. 
Note for Users:
Registered Mobile Number is essential to use mAadhaar app. In case your mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar visit the nearest Enrolment Centre/Mobile Update End Point.
The Government has launched a support base for the purpose of promoting Digital India. The mAdhaar Mobile App is currently only available on Android platform. After downloading this app and registering, you do not have to carry with you a paper-format or any other way with a support card or number. The tweet made from the base Verify account said that #mAadhaar has been launched. This app on Android is available on Google Play.

1. Make sure that you have your enrollment number and the date-time of enrolment or your Aadhaar number with you in order to proceed for downloading the e-Aadhaar letter. These details can be found on the acknowledgement slip which you got from the enrolment centre after enrolling for Aadhaar.

2. Now there are two situations. First is that you have your Enrollment Id details and the Second is you know your Aadhaar Number. In Either case you can download your E-Aadhaar letter.

3. E-Aadhar Card Downloading process consists of 2 Steps

Step 1: Your Personal Details
4.(a). If you have Enrollment ID (enrollment number and date-time of enrollemnt), then fill in your details like enrolment number, date time of enrolment, your full name, your Pin Code, the captcha code (image text) and your mobile number in the respective fields and click on the ‘Get One Time Password’ button. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on the mobile number you just entered. This is essential for verification process.

4.(b). If you know your Aadhaar Number then select the radio button put in front of ‘Aadhaar’ (second radio button on the second line yellow in colour). Then fill in your Aadhaar number, full name, Pin Code and the captcha code (image text) in the respective fields and click on the ‘Get One Time Password’ button. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on the registered mobile number. This is essential for verification process.

Step 2: Enter OTP Received and Download your E-Aadhaar

5. Type the OTP you received on your mobile and click on ‘Validate & Download’ button.

6. After that you will be provided with a link to download your E-Aadhaar letter (in PDF format) and to open it you will need to enter your ‘Pincode’ as the password.

You can then take the printout of that letter and use it for various services.

Since Aadhaar is a unique 12-digit number and serves the purpose of establishing identity, the downloaded version of your Aadhaar letter is as valid as the one you received via post. The digital signature on the e-Aadhaar letter validates it as an acceptable proof at all those places where Aadhar card can be used. Many people questions about the Aadhar card downloading process and the most common they ask is what the ‘resident name’ is? Well this is not a complex field and we would like to tell all our users that the ‘Resident Name’ is the person name who has enrolled for Aadhaar. Typing correct name as printed on your acknowledgement slip will prevent you from getting into any kind of trouble. The second most asked question is how to open the password protected E Aadhar card.
